Name for the CEPC reference detector concept

We would like to invite you to propose a name for the CEPC reference detector concept. As this detector experiment could be operated at any future electron-positron colliders, including CEPC and FCC-ee, the name should reflect the shared vision and collaborative spirit of our community. Please find below the key guidelines for the naming:

  1. The name should be equally applicable to all future electron-positron collider projects. For example:

    • - The name itself should not contain the acronym “CEPC” (since the detector is not tied exclusively to CEPC).

  2. The name should not have already been used in particle physics (for detectors, experiments, or major components).

  3. The name should not have nationality biases.

  4. If possible, the name should highlight a clear scientific concept or principle.

  5. If possible, the name should reflect what sets our detector apart from others. For example:

    • - Its calorimeter is a crystal plus glass calorimeter.

    • - The detector is not particularly compact when compared to other proposed concepts.

  6. If possible, avoid mentioning Higgs physics in the name unless Z boson is also mentioned, since FCC-ee is focused more on the Z-pole.

Please propose a name for the reference detector in the format of [full name, abbreviation].

(Example:  Five hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope, FAST)

We kindly ask you to submit your proposals by 30 April 2026.
