This survey aims to investigate how Douyin’s recommendation algorithm affects users’ information access and media literacy, with a particular focus on ordinary users living in rural or remote areas. The questions cover your usage habits, understanding of the recommendation system, and attitudes towards it.

All responses will be stored anonymously and treated confidentially. Data will be securely deleted after the study is completed and will not be used for any commercial purposes.
