The Urban Health and Wellbeing Programme (UHWB) is an affiliated body of the International Science Council (ISC). It is co-sponsored by the International Society for Urban Health (ISUH) and hosted by the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The Expert Committee is responsible for defining the programme’s strategic and thematic priorities, as well as its medium- and long-term outcomes and activities. The Committee normally meets once a year, usually for two days. Some work is also carried out between meetings, and committee members may be asked to contribute to specific working or review groups. The SC must bring together a broad range of disciplines—covering the natural, social, behavioural, engineering, health, and systems sciences—as they relate to the programme’s focus.
